Weekend Fixtures

U18’s (Saturday) v Seahorses Junior

Jason Smith and his U18’s team welcome Seahorses Junior to Carr Lane on Saturday Morning.

The Saturday U18’s team have had a tough start to the season with 1 point out of their first 3 games and are back in action after a week off. They will be looking at bouncing back with a positive result after their most recent loss against Marina Sands (4-0).

Lets hope the team bonding session Friday Night can inspire the lads to their 1st win of the season.

Good Luck Lads!!

If you fancy a bit of early Saturday morning action come down to Carr Lane for the 9.30am Kick Off.

U18’s (Sunday) v Ribble Wanderers

Steve Gautrey’s U18’s team travel to Preston College this Sunday to face AC Preston.

The U18’s find themselves sitting 3rd in the Youth Blue Division table, just 2 points off the top after 4 games. After their recent loss, they bounced back last Sunday with a 5-0 win against Ribble Wanderers, with no less than 5 different players on the scoresheet.

They will head into the game as favourites with AC Preston currently sitting bottom and have a very poor defensive record of 36 goals conceded in just two games.

3 points for the U18’s and favourable results in the divisions other fixtures could see them sitting top of the table!!

All the best of luck to Steve and his U18’s squad….

Whites v Ribbleton Wanderers

The Whites are back in action after a week off and travel to Frenchwood Park to take on Ribbleton Wanderers. In their last outing they come away with a 2-1 win against Ribble. This was the Whites 4th consecutive win and they currently find themselves flying high, sitting 2nd place in Division 3.

Ribbleton sit 2 places and 2 points behind the Whites so this game points to a possible tight affair. Lets hope that top scorer Jake Farnworth can add to his 6 league goals and fire the Whites to another 3 points.

3 points for Paul Batey’s team could see the Whites sitting top of the table Sunday evening and unbeaten in 8 League Games. A fantastic achievement as this is the squads first season in Open Age football.

Good Luck Lads!!!

Sunday Team V Midgery Court

Tarleton Sunday Team entertain Preston based Midgery Court this Sunday. Evan Hall and his team will be hoping to build on the very impressive 7-1 win against BAE Warton last Sunday.

Midgery Court find themselves bottom of the Lancs Sunday League 3rd Division with 6 losses in their opening 6 games. Worryingly for Midgery is their 42 goals conceded in these 6 games, something that the reds forwards will be hoping to take advantage of, especially Kurt Bromley who has 5 goals in 4 league games (6 out of 6 in all comps) & Isaac Neill (4 in 5 League / 5 in 6 all comps), who both registered Hat-Tricks in the last fixture.

If the reds can record their second straight win, it would not only be the first time they will have done it this season but will actually be the first time since the 2014/15 season.

Good Luck to Evan and his team!!

Kick Off at Carr Lane is 11am. Betty’s Tuck shop will be open serving tea, coffee, toast and much more…

First Team V FC Bolton

The First Team are looking to make it 2 wins in a row for the first time this season tomorrow when they take on FC Bolton at Carr Lane.

After there impressive 4-1 victory last week against Walmer Bridge, Brian Hall and his men face another tricky tie against the Bolton side, who in their last game came away with a credible draw against table toppers Hoole United.
FC Bolton currently sit in 5th place just 1 point above Corinthians with 3 wins, 1 Draw and 2 losses from their 6 games so far this season.

Brian Hall will be hoping that his squad can put in another commanding display. A win could see the reds jump up to 3rd place in the table, dependent on other results.

Corinthians will be hoping that Connor Jamieson can continue his goalscoring streak after his hat-trick last weekend. Connor along with Nathan Rigby top the team goal scoring chart with 4 goals each. Hopefully they will both be able to add to their tally and fire Corinthians to another 3 points….

Kick off at Carr Lane is 2pm.

Fixtures – 6th & 7th October

Good Luck to all our teams & opponents this weekend.

Enjoy!!!
